She was a curious girl. Always excited to experience new things. She was highly engaged to her parents, although they were distanced by age. Sometimes it creates a gap, where they can't relate what this girl just experienced with the perception of her parents. For the sake of the girl which doesn't understand much about life she's always put to stay away from her parents arguments. Then, it becomes a habit. The habit where this girl is always excluded from every decision her parents make.
When she was bigger, she became a cheerful girl. She tells happy stories because she was too excited to keep it alone. Meanwhile her parents was in an intense debate, about the life which makes them quite stressful. But that girl wants to keep doing happy things. She doesn't know how. Then she asked her parents. It's somewhat reasonable for her parents to not respond in a kind way as her daughter expected. She knew it wasn't a good timing for her to ask things. She confined her ego and remains silent.
As a kid, its a normal thing that she is looking for her parents attention. One day, she was really delighted with the presence of her big family in one place. She wants to brag how excited she was, but got ignored. Her mother is as excited as she was. Her mother enjoyed every moment of jokes and laughter with the rest of the family. Unintentionally ignoring her child. Yet her father never showed up in any family gathering due to his weak body and chose to rest. She confined her ego and remains silent once more.
She is a graceful but shy little girl. She often feels ignored by the surrounding people. Too young to join her parents conversation. Too shy to start a conversation with a new friend. She felt hated and rejected which made her an ignorant girl and cares about herself. Doing things as she likes in particular. She thought being ignorant is the best way to avoid resentment. She keeps doing what she likes and ignore triggering things.
Until one time, she was far from what she call home. She somewhat expects her parents to miss her. But the truth she never gets a call unless she made one. Yes, she was disappointed, heartbroken, depressed. She cries in silence. At once, all the heartbreaking memories revolved again, like an old movie on rewind. It's not like she intended to remember the past, but it rose to the touch of the same feeling. Everyone can see tears filling her eyes. They tried to lure her like a baby. Thought it would cheer her up. But it didn't work. It gets more and more complicated instead. They're just not being aware, practically, all she want was just somebody to listen what she has to say.

This is a typical case of clients meeting psychologist. Clients might have a traumatic and hateful life event that they keep it deep down in their memory. They choose to flight not to fight. Avoid problems and bury it rather than absorbing the emotion they got to feel and releasing it in a good way. Burying problems is a bad solution or I'd rather say never solve problems. It actually just make things even worse and accumulates. When it gets triggered, clients will only feel as the same. In fact, the problem they avoid might be insignificant but they just can't think right that they decide to go to a psychologist. Some of them might not be mentally ill, the truth is they only need to spill out their emotion and have someone listening.
Surrounding people and environment also might have an impact. As a part of the community, let's raise our awareness towards other people. Their presence in general and their feeling, emotions which are inseparable from a human being. An empathy towards other people might be the glaze to their donut. :)
